Description

Northwood is hiring a Security Operations Lead to build and own its security operations function, including SOC capabilities, SIEM detection engineering, incident response, forensics, threat hunting, automation, and team leadership. The role covers monitoring and protecting hybrid on-premises and cloud infrastructure in a highly regulated aerospace and defense environment, requiring 5+ years of hands-on security operations experience, technical leadership, relevant security tooling expertise, and the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 5+ years of hands-on SOC operations, incident response, or threat hunting experience, including technical leadership
Hands-on experience building and operating SIEM platforms
Experience with EDR platforms
Digital forensics and malware analysis
Security automation with Python, PowerShell, or Bash
UEBA capabilities
Linux forensics and log analysis
Threat intelligence frameworks
Government compliance frameworks
Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance
Preferred Qualifications: Active TS clearance or higher
Familiarity with Northwood's security stack
Cloud security monitoring in AWS GovCloud and Microsoft GCC
SOAR and automated response workflows
Aerospace, defense, or critical infrastructure background
Threat hunting in air-gapped or compliance-constrained environments
Government incident reporting procedures
