Description

The Cyber Security Research Intern will work on a focused research problem in threat detection, develop working prototypes for a next-generation security platform, study modern adversary behavior, translate findings into detection logic and research tooling, and collaborate with researchers and engineers. The role requires current enrollment in a relevant Master's or Ph.D. program, experience in security-related coursework, research, or projects, and hands-on familiarity with areas such as threat hunting, malware analysis, vulnerability analysis, reverse engineering, machine learning, or penetration testing.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Currently enrolled in a Master's or Ph.D. program in Computer Science, System/Network Security, or a related technical field, with an expected graduation date by 2028
Required Previous Experiences: Coursework, research, or project experience in cyber security, malware, network traffic, web and vulnerability exploitation, large-scale data analysis, or machine learning
Hands-on familiarity with threat hunting, malware analysis and sandboxing, vulnerability analysis, reverse engineering, offensive security, machine learning, or penetration tests
Preferred Qualifications: Working understanding of modern attacks and evasion techniques, malware behaviors and countermeasures, the MITRE ATT&CK framework, and cyber kill chain/TTPs
Strong proficiency in Python programming and system programming with C/C++/Rust/Go
Strong passion for security research and communication and documentation skills
