Description
The Security Officer conducts investigations into theft, liability claims, robberies, burglaries, employee policy violations, missing funds, and other company losses; maintains relationships with local law enforcement and fire and rescue services; reviews and approves security and accident reports; and may respond to emergencies as a first responder on the Rapid Response Team. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, two years of related experience or training, physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds, and the ability to defend patrons and employees. Rapid Response Team members must pass the annual defensive tactics course, qualify with required weapons, have no felony convictions, and meet Iowa Racing & Gaming Commission suitability standards.
