Description
The Security Specialist - Armed protects people and property at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio, conducts non-law-enforcement investigations and information reports on hospital property, enforces facility rules, and maintains a visible security presence. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, OPOTA Basic Security Guard Training or comparable firearm certification, a valid Ohio driver's license, background investigation, substance and drug testing, and required immunizations. No prior job-related experience is required, but 1–3 years of experience is preferred; the position also requires annual firearms qualification, TASER, active-shooter response, AVADE, and CPR/AED training, along with computer, communication, organizational, and telephone skills.
