Northbrook Public Library is hiring a full-time Security Supervisor to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for patrons and staff. The role supervises part-time Security Monitor staff, supports emergency and incident response, collaborates with library personnel, uses security technology, and prepares reports. It requires supervisory experience, crisis de-escalation and conflict-resolution skills, certification or ability to obtain CPR, AED, Mental Health First Aid, and first-aid certification, and knowledge of surveillance, access control, and intrusion-alert systems. The schedule varies, with two nights per week and two weekends per month, and the position offers medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage.
