Pref-Tech is hiring a full-time Security System Lead Technician to lead a small team of security and cabling technicians on access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and related projects. The role includes planning tasks, managing materials and equipment, installing and troubleshooting low-voltage and integrated systems, conducting quality control, communicating with customers, and reporting progress. Candidates need a high school diploma or GED, at least 18 years of age, a valid Texas driver’s license, at least five years of relevant security experience, at least two years of leadership experience, and current or immediately obtainable Texas DPS security licensing. The position requires day-and-night field work, 10–20% travel, physical lifting and outdoor work, and includes a company vehicle, health and dental insurance, retirement matching, and bonuses.
