Description
The Physical Security Technician installs, services, tests, troubleshoots, and programs commercial security systems, including cameras, access control, displays, structured cabling, and low-voltage integrations. The role performs site surveys, customer liaison duties, client training, documentation, cutovers, and work in both retrofit and new-construction environments. It requires a high school or technical trade education, three years of communications infrastructure installation experience, relevant security-system knowledge, and one or more listed security-system or networking certifications. The position pays $25 to $30 per hour and requires a valid driver’s license, with possible overtime, on-call work, and physical demands.
