One Sixth Form College, part of Eastern Education Group, is hiring a permanent SEMH Safeguarding Practitioner in Ipswich. The role focuses on safeguarding students, especially those with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, by assessing complex risks, making referrals to police or social services, applying contextual safeguarding and the PREVENT agenda, and coordinating support with staff, parents, senior leaders, and external agencies. It also addresses student welfare concerns such as housing and financial vulnerability. The position is 37 hours per week for 40 weeks per year, with a salary of £27,255–£29,541 pro rata (£23,730–£25,720 actual).
