Description
The Senior Actuarial Associate supports American Equity’s VM-22 valuation function through actuarial modeling, reserve calculations, validation, testing, reconciliation, reporting, and analytical review. The role partners with actuarial, finance, investments, product, risk, and technology stakeholders and contributes to quarterly valuation processes, model implementation, regulatory and business changes, and continuous improvement initiatives. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science or a related field, at least two years of progressively responsible actuarial experience, completion of at least three actuarial exams, and experience with annuity products, financial reporting, valuation, or modeling; principle-based reserving, stochastic and asset-liability modeling, and actuarial modeling platforms are preferred.
