Mitacs is seeking a Senior Advisor, Government Relations (Federal) to join their team. This individual will be responsible for leading and developing government relations strategies at the federal level, fostering strong connections with government officials, policymakers, and key stakeholders. Key responsibilities include implementing comprehensive strategy execution, providing advisory services on federal policies, cultivating partnerships, driving strategic capacity building for innovation, engaging stakeholders, collaborating with internal teams, and measuring the impact of government relations efforts. The ideal candidate will possess an undergraduate degree in political science or public policy, over five years of experience in government relations, familiarity with Canadian government structures, and a solid understanding of decision-making and legislative processes. Bilingualism in French and English is essential due to the need to communicate effectively with various stakeholders nationwide. The role is based in Ottawa and is a full-time temporary contract until December 2026.
