The client is hiring a Senior AI / Agent Platform Engineer to build the execution layer for enterprise AI agent capabilities. The role focuses on scalable runtime services, distributed systems, long-running asynchronous AI workflows, model routing, tool invocation, state management, retries, checkpointing, failure recovery, APIs, SDKs, tracing, telemetry, and evaluation. Candidates need strong software engineering and distributed systems experience, production AI application experience with LLMs or AI agents, asynchronous systems expertise, knowledge of model APIs and AI performance optimization, and cloud-native development experience with containers, APIs, Kubernetes, and microservices. The salary range is $140,000-$160,000 per year.
