Description

TMTG is hiring a Senior AI Engineer for a US-only, fully remote, full-time role based in Sarasota, Florida. The engineer will lead greenfield AI infrastructure and build production LLM-backed features for a social media platform serving millions of users, including retrieval-augmented generation, streaming, tool use, model-provider routing, retrieval systems, evaluation, safety, observability, and end-to-end API services. The role requires at least five years of backend engineering experience in a statically typed language and production LLM experience; Go, Python, LLM serving infrastructure, vector databases, fine-tuning, and content moderation are preferred.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: At least 5 years of backend engineering experience using a statically typed language such as Go, Java, Kotlin, or C#.
Production experience shipping LLM-backed features, including retrieval-augmented generation, streaming responses, and tool use.
Must be based in the United States and authorized to work there.
Preferred Qualifications: Strong Go experience.
Python experience.
Experience with LLM gateways or serving infrastructure such as LiteLLM, vLLM, or TGI.
Experience with vector databases and embedding pipelines.
Experience fine-tuning open-weight models with LoRA or full fine-tuning, together with model evaluation practices.
Content moderation or AI safety tooling experience.
Familiarity with Ruby on Rails or React/TypeScript for integrations.
