Manulife/John Hancock is hiring a Senior Full‑Stack AI Engineer to design, build, and scale cloud‑native AI applications and systems. The role covers APIs, microservices, distributed systems, AI agent workflows, retrieval‑augmented pipelines, model orchestration, inference services, secure and compliant architecture, DevOps automation, and responsible AI practices. Candidates need at least 8 years of software engineering experience, strong programming and cloud skills, Kubernetes and distributed-systems knowledge, infrastructure-as-code expertise, and familiarity with AI frameworks and LLM integration patterns. The position is hybrid in Waterloo, Ontario, with a salary range of CAD 113,000–163,000 plus potential incentive compensation.
