Apple is hiring a senior AI/ML engineer to apply machine learning and AI to 3D geometry, manufacturing processes, CAD files, and the tacit expertise of machinists and engineers. The role owns end-to-end ML systems for machining, design-for-manufacturing, and related workflows, including architectural decisions, production evaluation, agentic AI systems, and collaboration with non-ML domain experts. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree plus seven years of experience, a master’s degree plus five years, or a PhD plus two years in a relevant analytical field, along with strong Python, production ML, foundation-model, and agentic-AI experience.
