Description
The Senior Search Engineer will build the retrieval layer for product discovery in commercetools’ PaaS ecommerce Scala backend. The role covers query understanding, vector and hybrid retrieval, scalable multi-tenant architecture, software testing, and production on-call support. Candidates need at least five years of search-engineering experience, familiarity with search engines such as Elasticsearch, Solr, or OpenSearch, fluent English, and an interest in AI tools. The position is hybrid, with three days per week in Munich, Berlin, London, or Valencia.
