Description

Waste Robotics is hiring a Senior AI Software Developer to build and deploy computer vision models for real-time robotic sorting. The role covers training, evaluation, and delivery of detection and segmentation models; MLOps and production deployment; multi-site generalization; active learning; industrial imaging; and maintenance of a model training pipeline. Candidates should have senior-level Python production experience, industrial object detection or instance segmentation experience, MLOps experience with PyTorch, ONNX, or TensorRT, and strong software engineering skills. The position is full-time and requires residence in the Montreal or Trois-Rivières region of Quebec.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: Senior-level experience owning Python solutions in production, including design, testing, deployment, and support.
Industrial experience in object detection or instance segmentation with rigorous evaluation.
MLOps experience deploying with PyTorch, ONNX, TensorRT, or equivalent.
Experience with domain adaptation, imbalanced data, or active learning.
Preferred Qualifications: Industrial imaging, RGB-D calibration, CUDA/GPU profiling, cloud data pipelines, and model traceability platforms.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills within a multidisciplinary team.
Ability to mentor peers and communicate technical trade-offs during code and design reviews.
