Nu Quantum is hiring a full-time, permanent Experimental Physicist in Cambridge, United Kingdom, to develop and operate a quantum-network demonstrator. The role combines atomic physics, cavity QED, and quantum engineering, with responsibilities including remote-entanglement experiments, ion-trapping device benchmarking, laboratory-system troubleshooting, cross-functional collaboration, technical leadership, and mentoring AMO physicists. Candidates should have experimental AMO physics experience, quantum-control and qubit-benchmarking expertise, and hands-on experience with optical, electronic, and ultra-high-vacuum systems.
