Description
Ciena is hiring a Hardware Design Lead to lead the end-to-end design, development, validation, and troubleshooting of complex printed-circuit-board circuit packs for current and next-generation networking platforms. The role collaborates with systems, mechanical, software, FPGA, operations, and other teams; selects components, performs schematic capture and PCB layout, coordinates fabrication and assembly, validates interfaces, supports prototypes and production, documents design milestones, and mentors junior engineers. The position requires an electrical engineering degree, 10+ years of hardware design experience, expertise in analog and digital circuit design and testing, and proficiency with EDA tools such as Cadence Concept or Allegro. The primary location is Ottawa, with an annual pay range of $98,000 to $198,800 and medical, dental, and vision benefits.
