Description
January is hiring a Senior Analytics Engineer to own the company's Snowflake-native semantic layer and gold-layer data products. The role involves building dbt-driven models, standardizing metrics and data contracts, resolving cross-team metric conflicts, partnering with Data Engineering on client reporting, expanding data capture, managing Snowflake and dbt costs, and enabling trustworthy self-service for analysts, product managers, operations teams, and future AI agents. The position requires at least five years of analytics engineering, data engineering, or a closely related role, advanced SQL, semantic-layer experience, and strong cross-team collaboration skills. The role is based in January's New York office, with at least three days per week in the office.
