Description

Exadel is hiring a Data Engineer for a leading global digital banking platform and neobank in São Paulo. The role owns the design, development, deployment, production support, and continuous improvement of scalable data pipelines and analytics-ready datasets. It requires production-grade pipeline experience, Databricks and Apache Spark expertise, advanced SQL, data modeling, Delta Lake or Apache Iceberg, data quality and observability, and modern software engineering practices. The position is hybrid and offers medical healthcare and other benefits.

Required Previous Experiences: Professional experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or a related field
Experience building and operating production-grade data pipelines
Hands-on Databricks experience with Workflows, Jobs, and Unity Catalog
Advanced Apache Spark experience with PySpark and/or Scala
Experience processing and optimizing large-scale datasets
Advanced SQL skills
Data modeling and analytical data structures
Delta Lake or Apache Iceberg
Incremental and idempotent data pipelines
Data quality, validation, testing, monitoring, and observability
Troubleshooting and production support
Git, CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews, and modern software engineering practices
Preferred Qualifications: Cloud migration and data modernization experience
AWS services experience
Google Cloud Platform or other major cloud platforms
Modern Lakehouse and Semantic Layer experience
REST API and JSON data integration
Data governance knowledge
Infrastructure as Code and Terraform
