Sleeper is hiring Senior and Staff Backend Engineers for its Picks product, which combines daily fantasy sports and prediction markets with real-money transactions. The role owns end-to-end systems including contest and entry lifecycles, pricing and market data, settlement, wallets, ledgers, eligibility, compliance, risk, and third-party integrations. Candidates need 5+ years of backend engineering experience for Senior and 8+ years plus an architecture-ownership track record for Staff, along with distributed-systems expertise and strong knowledge of at least one backend language. The position is hybrid and based in the San Francisco Bay Area or New York City, with a base salary of $180,000–$300,000 per year.
