Counterpart Health is hiring a Senior Application Security Engineer to perform offensive security work on its core Counterpart Assistant platform. The role involves hunting and closing vulnerabilities, hardening systems and endpoints, monitoring services, protecting PHI, using AI-driven vulnerability discovery, reviewing critical pull requests, training and mentoring engineers, and partnering with reliability, leadership, and corporate security teams. Candidates should have at least 8 years of software engineering experience, 4 years focused on application security, vulnerability research, and penetration testing, custom tooling experience, AI vulnerability-discovery knowledge, and broad programming ability. The position is remote-first and offers a base salary of $169,000–$220,000 USD plus equity, bonuses, and medical, dental, and vision coverage.
