Microsoft is hiring a Senior Applied Scientist for its Word Mobile and Word Copilot team in Noida. The role develops and evaluates AI models, prompting strategies, retrieval pipelines, and intelligent document experiences that connect natural-language interaction with the Word canvas. Responsibilities include building mobile-first Copilot capabilities, integrating and maintaining models across iOS, Android, web, and desktop, conducting offline and online evaluations, debugging failures, and translating customer feedback and telemetry into product improvements. The position requires a relevant bachelor's, master's, or doctorate degree plus the stated years of related experience, along with security screening and, for preferred candidates, Python, PyTorch, large language models, retrieval-augmented systems, and production AI experience.
