Clifford Chance is hiring a Senior Associate for its corporate practice in Tokyo to advise on complex M&A and private equity transactions involving public and private corporations, private equity investors, financial institutions, governments, and international bodies. The role covers growth and pre-IPO investments, strategic joint ventures, leveraged buyouts, auction sale processes, and investments across energy, infrastructure, technology, real estate, industrials, healthcare, and agribusiness. Responsibilities include delivering legal advice, managing multiple workstreams, collaborating with global teams, and developing client relationships. Candidates should have 3–6 PQE, a law qualification from a common-law jurisdiction, M&A expertise, strong drafting and client-development skills, and preferably Japanese fluency.
