Description

Amgen is hiring a Senior Associate Data Scientist to develop and deploy advanced machine learning, operational research, semantic analysis, and statistical methods for large-scale data analysis, with a focus on AI-driven automation, Copay and GTN initiatives, predictive/prescriptive analytics, and MLOps-enabled experimentation and deployment. The role partners with global cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical specifications and build analytics solutions, dashboards, and automated workflows using tools such as Python, R, ML frameworks, cloud platforms, and data pipeline technologies.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Master’s degree in computer science, statistics, or a STEM major with 2 years of Information Systems experience, or bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, or a STEM major with 4 years of Information Systems experience.
Required Previous Experiences: 2 years of Information Systems experience with a master’s degree, or 4 years of Information Systems experience with a bachelor’s degree.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with MLOps tools and DevOps tools such as MLflow, Kubeflow, Airflow, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
Proficiency in Python and ML libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn.
Data engineering and pipeline development experience.
Knowledge of NLP, text analysis, and sentiment analysis.
Experience analyzing time-series data for forecasting and trend analysis.
Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Experience with Databricks for analytics and MLOps.
Preferred AWS Developer certification and preferred Python/ML certification.
