Description

ASEC, Inc. is seeking a Senior Avionics Systems Engineer to support NAVAIR's Airborne Strategic Command, Control and Communications Program Office (PMA-271) at NAS Patuxent River, MD. The successful candidate will drive the development, acquisition, certification, modernization, and sustainment of critical mission systems, focusing on SATCOM, HF, VLF, UHF, and IP Line-of-Sight avionics. This role involves research, evaluation, cosite mitigation, Non-Recurring Engineering initiatives, and leading various technical reviews and studies. The position requires a Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret and up to 25% travel.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering, Computer Science
Required Previous Experiences: 5 years of relevant NAVAIR Systems Engineering experience within a NAVAIR Program Management Activity (PMA).
Hands-on experience in the NAVAIR environment creating and maturing Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) through technical review and approval processes.
Preferred Qualifications: 10 years of experience leading new development or modifications to existing mission avionics systems — from drafting Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and awarding development contracts, through Engineering Development, Review & Approval Process (EDRAP), to full flight clearance integration and production contract execution
Ability to build positive, collaborative relationships across teams and with external partners.
