Description
FreeBalance is seeking a Senior AWS Infrastructure Engineer to redesign their AWS environment. This role involves leading the design and implementation of a secure, scalable, multi-account AWS architecture, enabling cost chargeback, and establishing long-term operational best practices. The engineer will focus on infrastructure first, requiring strong operating system, networking, and security fundamentals, along with deep AWS experience. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing a best-practice multi-account AWS architecture, executing phased migrations, codifying infrastructure using Terraform, enforcing security guardrails, managing AWS networking at scale, implementing cost monitoring, supporting OS-level hardening, and understanding cloud infrastructure mapping to OS and network behavior.
