The role focuses on Java or Go services, APIs, distributed systems, microservices, event-driven architecture, performance optimization, observability, and production reliability, with technologies including Kafka, Redis/Valkey, Elasticsearch, SQL, NoSQL, cloud platforms, containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Prometheus, and Grafana. The position is based at Proximity, a technology, design, and consulting company headquartered in San Francisco with offices in Palo Alto, Dubai, Mumbai, and Bangalore.
