Scribe is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer for its Agents Engineering Team to own backend features for document viewing, editing, embedding, exporting, and integrations. The role involves building and shipping features in a Django monolith, optimizing database queries, endpoints, and caching, collaborating with product, design, and frontend teams, and contributing to architecture and engineering quality. Candidates need at least five years of experience building backend applications at high scale and availability, extensive Python experience, and knowledge of endpoint and database optimization; Django, startup experience, and the listed backend technologies are preferred or relevant.
