Description
The Senior Backend Engineer will design, build, operate, and improve backend systems across a portfolio of mobile products, working across products and technical contexts rather than remaining in one codebase. The role focuses on Go, with additional Node.js and Python work, and requires knowledge of databases, distributed systems, message brokers, Docker, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, observability, performance, and reliability. The engineer will investigate existing systems, make architectural trade-offs, take problems from unclear starting points through production, and collaborate with product, frontend, data, and other engineering teams. The position is remote-first and typically requires 5+ years of backend engineering experience.
