Description

Brahma AI is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to design and scale server-side services, RESTful APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, data pipelines, databases, and caching systems for AI and media processing. The role collaborates with ML, DevOps, frontend, product, and platform teams, focuses on performance, observability, incident response, and production reliability, and requires at least five years of server-side Python development experience. The position is intended for candidates within +/- 3 hours of GMT.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 5+ years of software engineering experience
Experience building scalable RESTful APIs, microservices, and async/event-driven systems
Experience with production observability, logging, monitoring, and alerting
Experience using AI development tools such as Copilot, Cursor, and LLM APIs
Understanding of core AI concepts, including model training and inference
Preferred Qualifications: Hands-on experience or familiarity with PyTorch
Familiarity with ML serving tools such as TorchServe, vLLM, and Triton
Experience with DAG-based workflow orchestrators such as Airflow, Prefect, or Temporal
Experience with async ETL processing
Experience with columnar data formats such as Parquet
Experience with media processing tools and computer vision libraries
