Cloudinary is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer for its Agent Experience R&D team to build and improve infrastructure for machine-to-machine API calls, including account provisioning, machine authentication, scoped credentials, agent identity and attribution, MCP servers, an agent-first CLI, and reliable media operations. The role works across Node.js/TypeScript, Ruby/Rails, and Go, with responsibilities spanning API and protocol design, distributed systems, instrumentation, and cross-functional product and ecosystem work. Candidates need at least 10 years of experience building production APIs, SDKs, and backend systems at scale, along with strong Node.js/TypeScript, API design, distributed-systems, and cloud experience.
