Midnite is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer for its Platform Engineering team in a remote Canada role. The individual contributor will evolve backend and platform systems supporting the company’s sports betting and gaming platform, focusing on service boundaries, data separation, regional readiness, scalability, reliability, observability, deployment practices, and production code. The role requires senior backend or platform engineering experience, strong Python or comparable modern-language capability, distributed-systems knowledge, microservices and reliability experience, and strong written communication across time zones. The salary is CAD $170,000–$220,000, with private healthcare coverage and other benefits.
