Description
Sparta is hiring a Backend Engineer to design, build, and maintain backend services for its real-time and analytical data-processing platform. The role owns features end to end, optimizes pipelines for low latency and high throughput, maintains observability and incident response, and contributes to design reviews and knowledge sharing. It requires at least four years of software engineering experience, cross-functional product experience, familiarity with Kotlin, Java, Python, and TypeScript, and experience deploying services on AWS or GCP. The company is remote-first, but this role seeks a hybrid candidate who may spend a couple of days in the office per week.
