SumUp is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to serve as the technical anchor of a small, high-impact squad focused on complex integrations in Brazil. The role owns architecture and RFCs, writes and reviews production-grade Go code, establishes documentation and testing standards, improves CI/CD, mentors engineers, and collaborates with engineering, product, and cross-functional stakeholders. Candidates should have strong backend development skills, Go or functional programming experience, AWS and SQL expertise, advanced English proficiency, and experience contributing to technical strategy.
