Description
Upside is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and scale resilient backend systems for international clients while contributing to open-source projects and applied AI research. The role owns architecture and implementation, consults with stakeholders, identifies systemic risks, mentors the team, and leads AI integration. It requires at least five years of web application development, preferably with Python frameworks, a relevant university degree, expertise in monoliths, microservices, messaging, PostgreSQL, CI/CD, Docker, and AWS or GCP, plus fluent English. The position is on-site in Kraków, hybrid, or remote from anywhere in Poland with regular team on-sites, with a stated Senior Engineer salary of 20,800–25,900 PLN net plus VAT.
