Description

Veda is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to design and build the production infrastructure supporting its DeFi vault platform across 15+ blockchain networks. The role owns systems architecture, AWS cloud architecture, event indexing, data pipelines, risk engines, multi-chain orchestration, observability, and the boundary between on-chain and off-chain systems. The engineer will also communicate technical decisions, write design documents, and help transition the company toward scalable engineering practices. The position offers a competitive base salary plus equity.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: Significant AWS production experience at scale
Experience designing and operating production systems with uptime requirements
Experience building event-driven architectures, data pipelines, caching layers, and high-throughput API services
Experience with Infrastructure as Code, Terraform, CI/CD, and containerization
Experience with systems that scaled beyond their original design
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with blockchain data, event indexing, on-chain state tracking, reorgs, and multi-chain consistency
Experience in DeFi or crypto infrastructure
Experience with Rust or Python in data-intensive contexts
Experience building or operating multi-tenant platforms with infrastructure isolation
