Verkada is hiring a Back-End Engineer for its Core Command team to design scalable control planes and data primitives, build distributed systems handling traffic from hundreds of thousands of devices, and spin up microservices. The role requires a relevant degree, at least four years of experience, access-systems experience, proficiency in Python or Go, and experience with databases, caching, queues, cloud providers, React, gRPC, and API specifications. The position is onsite five days per week and offers visa sponsorship, with an estimated annual on-target earnings range of $170,000 to $260,000 USD.
