Description

Vic.ai is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to build and operate an AI-first, in-house iPaaS that synchronizes customer ERP and financial systems. The role focuses on bidirectional integrations, TypeScript/Node.js backend services, third-party API contracts, idempotent and replay-safe jobs, AWS deployment, monitoring, and production reliability, while also contributing to broader backend services and AI-assisted onboarding tooling. The position is based in Madrid, Spain, with 1–2 days per week in the office.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 2+ years building and operating production backend systems in TypeScript/Node.js, Elixir/Phoenix, or Python
Experience building on top of LLMs
Experience integrating with third-party APIs
Experience with queue-based and distributed systems
Experience deploying and operating systems from development through production
Experience scaling and optimizing relational databases
Exposure to IT security principles and secure development practices
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
