LaunchDarkly is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer for its Billing team to own systems that convert plans, pricing, entitlements, and usage limits into revenue. The role covers checkout, subscription and entitlement APIs, usage metering, reconciliation, invoice and usage-data systems, monolith decomposition, and integrations with billing, CRM, and finance systems. Responsibilities include designing and building correct, independently deployable services, operating SLOs and alerting, and fixing root causes. The role requires at least six years of professional software-engineering experience, monolith-decomposition experience, strong backend and cloud production ownership, and familiarity with Go, TypeScript, Postgres, AWS, and Terraform.
