GitLab is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer for its Platform Enablement organization to build tooling and workflows for cloud-native and self-managed deployment environments. The role focuses on evolving deployment guidance, improving production-like ephemeral environments, maintaining consistent deployment artifacts and environment contracts across development, CI, GitLab.com, Dedicated, and Self-Managed environments, and partnering with application, infrastructure, and platform teams. Candidates should have strong backend engineering experience, ideally with Kubernetes-based systems, distributed applications, or platform engineering, along with experience in deployment architecture, environment management, or cloud-native operations.
