Verkada is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to architect, ship, and mentor engineers on the backend platform connecting its cloud and hardware. The role owns device provisioning, OTA firmware rollout, licensing, IoT core, device-metrics, and licensing-ledger features, while improving system robustness and operational reliability. Candidates need at least six years of experience building scalable backend services, fluency in a server language such as Python or Go, and the ability to collaborate across engineering teams. The position requires U.S. citizenship or permanent residency for FedRAMP compliance and onsite presence five days per week, with no visa sponsorship.
