GitLab is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer, Performance Enablement to build backend platforms and reusable tooling for performance testing and analysis. The role creates self-service workflows, documentation, diagnostics, and AI-assisted engineering capabilities that enable development and research teams to identify performance risks and adopt performance testing independently. The engineer will partner with teams, improve performance reporting and trend visibility, and provide expertise for difficult performance questions and new platform capabilities. The position is remote for United States residents and offers a base salary of $156,800 to $235,200 USD.
