Description
Zuno is hiring a permanent Senior Backend Engineer (Ruby) for a hybrid role in London. The position leads the architectural direction of server-side logic, designs and optimises Ruby on Rails APIs and complex business logic, partners with Product Managers and frontend engineers, and owns backend features from concept through deployment. Responsibilities include database and SQL optimisation, caching, background jobs, production reliability, code quality, technical leadership, and mentoring junior engineers. The role requires at least five years of backend development experience, strong Ruby and Rails expertise, RESTful API and automated testing experience, and the ability to work in an Agile environment.
