Description
Scandit is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to build and operate the distributed backend powering ShelfView, a machine-learning-powered retail platform. The role focuses on scaling ML-driven store-monitoring pipelines, GPU and infrastructure tradeoffs, multi-tenancy, service APIs, observability, production reliability, and mentoring engineers. The position requires at least five years of cloud backend experience, production workflow-orchestration and distributed-pipeline experience, identity and multi-tenant architecture expertise, Python proficiency, and experience with databases, cloud infrastructure, containerization, and DevOps practices. The role supports hybrid or home working in Zurich, Warsaw, Tampere, and London, with remote work supported across several additional countries.
