Payabl is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to design and build scalable Python microservices and high-performance backend systems supporting internal and customer-facing products. The role involves distributed-system architecture, AWS, Docker, CI/CD, third-party API integration, performance optimization, production troubleshooting, code reviews, and technical mentoring. Candidates need at least five years of backend engineering experience, strong Python expertise, microservices and distributed-systems experience, and fintech or high-throughput systems experience. The position is fully remote for candidates based in Poland or Cyprus onsite under an employment arrangement.
