Payabl is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to design and build scalable, high-performance Python microservices and backend systems supporting internal and customer-facing products. The role involves distributed-system architecture, AWS and Lambda, Docker, CI/CD, third-party API integration, performance optimization, production troubleshooting, code reviews, and technical guidance. It requires 5+ years of backend engineering experience, strong Python expertise, microservices and distributed-systems experience, and fintech or high-throughput systems experience.
