Description
The Backend Engineer will support and extend a Perl-based payment gateway while designing and building high-performance Python microservices, modernize legacy systems, integrate third-party payment APIs, and own production reliability in distributed systems. The role reports to a Technical Lead, requires 5+ years of backend engineering experience with strong Python expertise, and involves AWS, Docker, event-driven messaging, CI/CD, and engineering leadership.
