SP Energy Networks is hiring a Senior Cable Design Engineer for its Transmission Engineering team in Cambuslang/Hybrid Working. The role leads the technical delivery of complex, high-value transmission cable projects from feasibility through detailed design, including preparing and reviewing designs, specifications, drawings, budgets, and technical evaluations; resolving statutory and site issues; supporting construction and quality processes; mentoring junior engineers; and driving innovative, compliant engineering solutions. The position requires significant transmission cable design experience, CYMCAP or equivalent software proficiency, strong technical and stakeholder management skills, and a degree in engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
