Description
Google is hiring a senior software engineer to define the technical roadmap and architecture for the cellular modem protocol stack across 5G NR, 4G LTE, C-V2X, and Satellite NTN. The role leads and mentors engineers across specialized sub-teams, manages multi-year software delivery aligned with Pixel hardware launches, resolves carrier test and interoperability issues, and partners with Android Telephony, RF hardware, power and thermal systems, baseband silicon, and product management. The position requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience, 12 years of cellular modem baseband or protocol-stack software engineering experience, and 5 years of people-management experience.
